If you are interested in Precept’s Inductive study method and learning how you can engage more deeply with God through studying the Bible, we have the perfect opportunity for you. You are most welcome to join a group at any time and don’t have to wait until the beginning of a new study.
As many of you know the Precept UK head office is based in Salisbury, however it is such a blessing that there are many talented study group leaders across the nation that are always excited for new people to join them on a Precept Online Study. Study groups run by Precept UK are annotated with our logo. Similarly, all other groups are independent of the office and run separately to us – please note therefore, the group leader reserves the right to restrict those who join their group, and run it according to their own guidelines.

40 Minute: The Essentials of Effective Prayer | Monday 1st September 2025 | weekly (7-8.30pm) |

In “The Essentials of Effective Prayer” 40 Minute Bible Study, find the keys to an effective prayer life. This compelling study explores both God’s expectations of you and His promises to you when it comes to prayer. Through a detailed examination of the Lord’s Prayer and other examples of prayer throughout the Bible, you’ll discover a model for talking with God. 40 Minute: Living a Life of True Worship | Saturday 20th September 2025 | weekly (7-8.30am) | approx 7 weeks
When you hear the word Worship what are your initial thoughts? Would it be safe to say you naturally assume that someone is talking about Singing in Church with a band/instruments when you hear the word “Worship”? With this study you can find out how Worship is so much more than just singing. Using examples of people and scriptures from the Bible, engage with this Bible Study today!
Worship may be one of Christianity’s most misunderstood subjects. The Bible teaches that worship is more than just singing in church on Sunday mornings, more than an emotional experience. God calls us to worship Him even in our daily activities. This “living a life of true worship” – 40 Minute Bible Study will give you the biblical pattern for living a life of true worship.

New Inductive Study Series (NISS) (Level 2)
Reaching Men | NISS: Standing Firm In These Last Days (2 Thess) | 6 meetings, once a month starting Saturday 25 October 2025 (8.30-10.30am)*
Jesus is coming soon! Does that fill you with joy or fear – or a little of both? Do you wonder how you should order your life in light of His coming? First and Second Thessalonians will show you how to order your life in the light of Christ’s imminent return. The study is practical, applicable and transferrable. We’ll be studying the book of 2 Thessalonians in the New Inductive Study Series (NISS) book called “Standing Firm In These Last Days”. The NISS series is perfect for small groups and 1:1 discipleship and is a Level 2 Precept Study.
This will be a men’s group hybrid meeting so you are welcome to join us in person in the foyer at St Paul’s Church, Fisherton Street, Salisbury SP2 7QW, or via Zoom at 8.45am. If you attend in person, we meet for breakfast first.
The cost of the course for joining online is £8 for the book plus P&P. Those joining in person can collect a book in person on the day. There is a £2.50 charge for breakfast.

NISS: The Key to Living by Faith (Hebrews) | weekly starting on a Tuesday at the end of September 2025 (7-8.30pm) (date to be confirmed)
How do you live by faith when life is filled with so much struggle? Gain a deeper understanding of God’s grace and provision through this inductive study of Hebrews. Learn to keep your focus on Jesus and rely on His faithfulness. In all situations rest in the assurance that Jesus is our High Priest who makes intercession for all of God’s children.

Precept Upon Precept (PUP) Studies (Level 5)
PUP Acts Part 1 | Thursday 17th July 2025, fortnightly (6-7.30pm)
Luke’s first account was his Gospel in which he recorded all that Jesus began to do and teach. His second account we call Acts, or the Acts of the Apostles, in which Luke recorded what happened after Jesus’ ascension to the Father. Similarly, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, empowering the apostles to testify to the power of God in salvation and in living every day for the gospel. Learn how God spread the gospel through witnesses of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and from their examples, how you too can witness to others. Stand in awe of the power of God in believers to endure persecution and suffering for the cause of Christ and embrace His power in your life.

PUP Galatians | Tuesday 9th September 2025 (Introduction), then fortnightly (9.30-11.00am)
As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose. Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began. What does it mean to live under grace? Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian? All of it or just part of it? Who is right? How will we know?
